Weekend in Taipei: Part III (Be sure to look at the next two blogs following this one for our adventures in Taipei this past weekend!)

This year for the Asian world and calendar, it is the Year of the Ox. In one of our earliest blogs,we showed pictures of some of the incredible lanterns made by kids through adults for the Lantern Festival, of oxen. Well, this weekend we walked through a little park on our way to Taipei 101, the tallest building in the world, with 101 stories! Any way, in this little park were perhaps over 20 "statues" created by artists of ox, crafted of different materials that were so clever! Here are five, with the names we can remember!

The black one with all the foods on it is a Traditional Taiwanese Foods ox. The white one to the left here is made of computer keyboard keys in total!


The white one with the caramel-color swirls is Ox with Dumplings!



The milkshake one represents the Taiwanese Pearl Milk Tea, that we found delicious one time at a Night Market, whereby you sip the milky tea through a wide straw, so that you can take in the tapioca (?) "balls" that swirl in the drink as well!
